I cannot believe it has been 10 years since we opened Laguna Beach OBGYN!
Though my role as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist has not changed, our office has. We are busier than ever, delivering over 250 babies annually. We also maintain a bustling gynecological practice offering many services and state of the art procedures.
We have delivered more than 1800 babies in the first 10 years. Obstetrics continues to be one of my true passions. I enjoy the thill and anticipation of both the prenatal period and then the magic of childbirth. My office has been attracting new pregnant patients from all areas of Orange County. I believe my ability to listen to patients’ wishes and offer them an assortment of options, including encouraging a natural approach to labor and vaginal birth after cesarean deliveries (VBAC) has set me apart from other local obstetricians.
My office practice gives me the greatest sense of satisfaction and intellectual pleasure. Every patient has a different story, lifestyle, set of issues and problems. This is why I speak with each patient in my office before I perform a physical exam. This is done in order to allow the patient the freedom without intimidation to discuss the details of their lives whether medical or emotional. I follow all the latest guidelines in obstetrics and gynecology and explain every detail of the problem in order to give the patient a full understanding of their options and treatment plan.
I am still very active surgically. I offer all the latest surgical procedures from endometrial ablation to laparoscopic hysterectomy. Procedures are performed in my office, at an outpatient surgical center or in the hospital setting. With new technology and surgical instruments, most patients go home the same day of surgery, even after a hysterectomy.
I am pleased to announce that I have hired a phenomenal midwife, Allison Molinski, CNM (Certified nurse midwife) and she will deliver babies at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills. You can read about her on our website here. Allison’s enthusiasm for midwifery and women’s healthcare is unparalleled. She is caring, skilled and motivated to give her patients the best experience possible.
My wonderful family has truly thrived over the past decade. My oldest son Brian (21) is a senior at UC Santa Barbara with a dual major in Biopsychology and Pharmacology and plans to attend medical school in fall 2017. Scott (17) is a senior at Dana Hills High School. He just earned his black belt in mixed martial arts and teaches at his dojo. He is also a varsity wrestler at Dana Hills and tutors math when he has free time. Alexa (15) is a sophomore at Dana Hills High School and is very active in the SOCSA program. Singing, acting, dancing, shopping, selling cosmetics on eBay and hanging with her friends keeps her very busy. My wife Mara, who is still my business manager, just started a non-for-profit foundation called “Extraordinary Lives Foundation” which focuses on mental health awareness with an emphasis on children and adolescents. The foundation promotes mental health and wellness as well as holistic healing to help heal mental health challenges. Please go to her website Extraordinary Lives Foundation to see the amazing events coming up this year.
As for myself, my love and passion for my practice continues to grow. I am truly grateful to my family for their constant love and support, my office staff for their unconditional devotion and to my patient for their loyalty. I am head over heels with our practice and success.
Thank you to all my current and long term patients for helping me grow Laguna Beach OBGYN, Inc. into the premier OBGYN practice in Laguna Beach and Orange County!
